Become a volunteer and help the homeless and less fortunate
in our community. We offer several volunteer opportunities at Springs Rescue
Mission. Volunteering is a tangible way you can be the hands and feet of
Christ.
As a volunteer at Springs Rescue Mission, you will be taking
part in a creative and direct approach to serving your community! At SRM, there
is a place for everyone who has the passion and heart to give.
There Are Many Ways You Can Help
Emergency Resource Center
The Emergency Resource Center serves the working poor,
families with children, and the homeless. Volunteer opportunities include: client
intake, TFAP food distribution assistant, clothing store supervisor/assistant, driver, donation intake personal.
Men's New Life Program
The Men's New Life Program serves men who are homeless,
drug addicted, or having difficulty functioning in society due to lack of life
skills. Volunteer opportunities include: mentors, Bible teachers, case
management assistant, drivers, tutors, pen pals.
Food Service Department
The Food Service Department serves the homeless, working
poor, families with children, and anyone who is hungry. Volunteer opportunities
include: food service prep, serving meals to the homeless, special outreach
events.
Facilities / Maintenance
Facilities management serves everyone who is a part of SRM.
Without proper maintenance and things fixed when broken SRM couldn't operate at
full capacity. Volunteer opportunities include: grounds keeper, mechanics,
housekeeping, janitorial, and construction.
Volunteer Department
The Volunteer Department serves everyone helped by the
mission and its programs through a multi-level of activity and involvement
throughout SRM. Volunteer opportunities include: assistants, nightly chapel leaders, event
assistant, prayer coordinator, Sunday service, encouragement rep, receptionist,
secretary, special events.
