Joe Vazquez

Chief Executive Officer

Joe has been with Springs Rescue Mission since its inception, starting as a volunteer, and has served as its Chief Executive Officer and leader since July of 2004.  He is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the organization, facilities planning, and program design.  Joe oversaw the $1,400,000 conversion of property that became the Life Recovery Center.  The project was completed on time and within budget.  Joe is an ordained minister, graduating from Charis Bible College in Colorado Springs in 1998 and immediately starting on a path of urban ministry. Joe is recognized for his contributions in the non-profit community as one of its premier executive leaders.  He serves as the Mountain District President of the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions (AGRM). His community service has included serving on the board of the downtown Colorado Springs Kiwanis Club, and the board of Northern Churches Care.


 

Bob Hughes

Chief Programs Officer

Bob started with Springs Rescue Mission in July of 2011 after a 25+ year career in Direct Marketing. Bob has held c-level leadership positions with high-growth, high-volume consumer catalog businesses and has spent considerable time teaching and mentoring diverse management teams as they strive to reach their full organizational potential. He has a heart for the broken and hurting of our community and is a member of Woodmen Valley Chapel. Bob has a BA degree from Carthage College, an MBA from Loyola University Chicago, and is currently pursuing a second Masters degree (MA-Theology) from Denver Seminary.


 

Russ Gosselin

Chief Operations Officer

Russ Gosselin comes to Springs Rescue Mission (SRM) as a skilled visionary with an uncanny ability to forge solid, strategic relationships based on integrity and beneficial to all individuals who are part of the ministry environment of SRM.   He is an experienced leader with 35+ years of successful business management and entrepreneurial endeavors.  He has founded and managed many successful ministries, businesses as well as a national electronic check conversion company in 1996, which became the first such program approved by the National Automated Clearing House Association. He is adept at identifying strong ministry and business market opportunities and building profitable companies and successful ministries around them. As a strong advocate for those in need, Russ strategically applies his gifts to positive and lasting community transformation. Russ is one who inspires others to trust and follow strategic vision in order to accomplish more together than could be done separately.


 

Tim Hromadka

Chief Financial Officer

Tim holds a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and an MBA from the University of Keller Graduate School of Management. He has been with Springs Rescue Mission since January of 2003 and under his supervision and leadership has helped to develop and implement a Mission-wide intranet-based management information system for the tracking, budgeting, and reporting of all mission purchase orders, in-kind gift accounting, and departmental budgets. Tim also presides as the Chair of the Financial Management Affinity group, for the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions. Tim also secured ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accounting) accreditation for the Mission.


 

Larry Yonker

Chief Development Officer

Larry manages the Development department of Springs Rescue Mission; he has been with the Mission since January 2011.  Larry’s experience with major nonprofits and Fortune 100 corporations gives him the skills and vision required to create successful programs for fundraising, planned giving, donor relations, major donors, marketing, and development activities.  He was the owner of a fundraising consulting business, The Elevation Group, for 10 years and served over 300 non-profit organizations and raised over $600,000,000.  He was also the Vice President of Development and Marketing for Compassion International, where he worked for nearly a decade.  There he managed a $15,000,000 budget and was responsible for $120,000,000 in revenue and 110 employees.  Larry worked 16 years in the information technology industry, serving as a Regional Director of the value-added marketing division of Unisys Corporation.  Long involved in the Christian Management Association and the Christian Stewardship Association, Larry is also an elder at New Life Church in Colorado Springs and a member of the board of directors for Professional Association of Colorado Educators & Africa Ministries.
